A Visit from Sister Tessa & Health Insurance Milestone

It was a wonderful few weeks at Karunai Illam when Sister Tessa came to stay with the children from July 22 to August 12, 2025. Her 20-day visit was filled with learning, laughter, and new experiences.

Together, they set off on several memorable excursions — exploring the magnificent Meenakshi Temple, visiting Edaikattur Village, and travelling to Bangalapatti to learn about local farming practices. The group also visited Kuruvithurai village, where they discovered more about the rich heritage of the Vaigai River. The visit ended beautifully with a Full Moon Walk at Thiruparankundram and a special ceremony at the DHAN Central Office.

Not long after, on August 10, the children joined a Health Insurance Enrollment Camp organised by the Dindigul District Child Welfare Office at Gandhigram Soubhagya Home. Thanks to this initiative, all were successfully enrolled in the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme, giving them access to essential healthcare coverage and greater peace of mind.
