Summer Camp

A summer camp was organized by the fellows of State Bank of India-Youth for India from May 30 to June 6, 2024, with the goal of exposing children to alternative careers and skills, fostering learning through fun, and building community.

The camp featured a variety of engaging activities, including movies, cooperative games, circular dances, and check-in and check-out circles, while also connecting outside individuals to the DKI, bringing in diverse perspectives. Guest facilitators such as Simi Joseph (MSW), Ganesh Bharathi (traveler and philosopher), Shreya (yoga teacher), Bharath (mud architect), and others led workshops on yoga, organic food education, art, and holistic skills. Activities like pen sketching, paper art, and self-reflection exercises were designed to enhance creativity, focus, and happiness, promoting both personal growth and academic well-being.

Overall, the camp supported the children's self-discovery and confidence-building through creative expression and exploration of alternative career paths.
