Exceptional kiwi maths teacher Subash meets Illam children!

Subash Chandar, a well-known NZ mathematics teacher based in Auckland, spoke online to our Illam children recently. Originally from Tamil Nadu, Subash had moved to New Zealand as a child. Subash with his Tamil heritage connected well with the children and the staff.  Gathered in the campus Skills Centre with Ms. Anbu and Mr. Karthikeyan, our new math coach, the children shared their experiences with math learning and Subash recounted his own journey and growth.

Passionate about maths teaching, Subash devotes his spare time to teachi free through his InfinityPlusOne YouTube channel where he connects daily with scores of Kiwi students preparing for secondary math examinations. He has been highly recognized for his contributions and awarded several prizes. Most recently he has been short-listed for an international maths teaching prize worth more than NZ$1.7 million sponsored by UNESCO and a private foundation.
