Specialized Academic Support for Our Students

At Karunai Illam, we believe that education is empowerment — a means of nurturing curiosity, confidence, and the courage to dream big. This year, several new academic initiatives are helping our students deepen their learning and prepare for future opportunities.

Chemistry Enrichment:

Weekend chemistry classes led by Mr. Yoganandan have brought science to life. Recognizing that many students find abstract chemical concepts challenging, he has adopted a hands-on approach—using practical demonstrations to show the chemical processes behind plant growth, including the roles of nutrients, hormones, and metabolism. Students have responded enthusiastically to this interactive style of learning.

UPSC Exam Mentorship:

Selvan Sanjaykumar, a Karunai Illam alumnus who completed his degree in 2025 and is now preparing for the UPSC exam at Aram IAS Academy, is giving back to the next generation. Every Sunday, he mentors three of our students—Santhoshini Hemachandran, Durga Bharathi, and Jai Abishek—guiding them through exam questions, study strategies, and long-term goals for civil service careers. His ongoing commitment to mentoring is deeply appreciated.
